Franchisee Menu Pricing Tool
Case Study

Creating Menu Price Consistency for Franchisees

Client Type

Casual dining pizza concept with 200+ franchised locations

Challenge

This brand was struggling with price consistency across their franchise locations. Stores that were in adjacent locations had pricing fluctuations that were frustrating guests. Franchise owners were also looking for more menu item pricing recommendations to help them make informed price increases where possible. It was important that the franchisees didn't have to use another software tool to manage their pricing recommendations in addition to the MenuNet menu versioning system and the addition of this functionality would not increase the overall production timelines that aligned with brand promotions and campaign rollouts.

How We Solved

Trabon’s in-house development team coordinated with a leading price-analysis firm to create an integration that would allow store-specific price tier recommendations to display for each franchisee as they were building their menus in MenuNet. MenuNet presented the recommended pricing along with a percent increase display for instant analysis to help franchisees with their decision making while they were in the tool pricing their menu.

Outcome

The outcome of using MenuNet for pricing across their franchisees resulted in much faster completion of menu pricing for managers and franchisees. They no longer had to reference alternative documents to find the recommended price. The corporate brand was satisfied that all of the work that was completed in the price-analysis was actually being utilized in the field, pushing for higher profitability and maximizing the effectiveness of their menus.
